Established in 1994 by Dave Larson, United Tile & Stone originated from his extensive experience as a tile installer, seeking to address prevalent industry challenges. Under various trade names, the company evolved to its current form in 2007, emphasizing collaboration over competition. In 2021, a transition to a collaborative structure led to Katie McGuire becoming president, empowering longstanding team members as leaders. Today, United Tile & Stone excels in high-end tile, stone, wallpaper, and LVP installations in Denver, prioritizing quality and innovation. With a focus on intricate mosaic to contemporary large format projects, our experienced team ensures successful outcomes for homeowners, designers, and builders alike.
Meet The Team
Katie McGuire: President
Katie has 11 years of experience in the tile and stone industry. She received her BA in Interior Design in 2012 from the Art Institute of Colorado. Katie was appointed president of United Tile & Stone in 2021, and took formal ownership in 2023. She oversees all company operations and takes pride in the successful completion of projects and the satisfaction of our clients.
Armando Lopez: VP/Installation Supervisor/Partner
Armando has over 28 years of tile installation experience and 5 years of wallpaper installation experience. During his time as a tenured installer, he has acquired a skillset that rivals any master craftsman. He supports our installation teams with hands-on management and real-world expertise.
Luis Aguirre: Installation Supervisor/Partner
Luis began his career in 1994 setting tile alongside our founder, Dave Larson. In his many years of experience, he has developed formidable problem-solving skills and an artistic eye. He supports our installation crews with his acute attention to detail and firm belief in sound installation practices.
Renee Aguirre: CFO/Partner
Renee joined the United Tile team in 2014 managing our stone department. In 2020 she took over all accounting operations. Renee supports our office team with her analytical expertise while maintaining her extensive knowledge of stone products and applications.
